Celebrating Black History Month: Honoring Dr. Kee’s Legacy in Frederick County

This February, as we celebrate Black History Month, we’re proud to honor the incredible contributions of African Americans throughout history. At Smile N Style Dental, we’re especially proud to highlight the legacy of Dr. Kee, who has made history right here in Frederick County.

Dr. Kee holds a special place in the community as the first Black female dentist in Frederick County, a trailblazer who began her practice in 1996. Her dedication, passion for dentistry, and commitment to improving the oral health of our community have paved the way for many others, breaking down barriers and inspiring future generations.

A Pioneering Presence in Our Community

Dr. Kee’s journey as a Black female dentist has not only impacted the field of dentistry but has also helped shape the local healthcare landscape. Her trailblazing career in Frederick County is a testament to perseverance, excellence, and the power of breaking barriers. Throughout her career, she’s built strong relationships with her patients, making them feel heard, valued, and cared for—qualities that have become the cornerstone of our practice today.

As we honor Dr. Kee’s legacy during Black History Month, we also reflect on the broader importance of diversity in healthcare. It’s vital for our community to see role models from all backgrounds who encourage individuals to pursue their passions, no matter the obstacles. Dr. Kee’s example continues to inspire many, both within the dental field and beyond.

Continuing the Legacy of Excellence

Dr. Kee’s commitment to excellence in dental care and her advocacy for diversity and inclusivity are values we strive to uphold at Smile N Style Dental. As we celebrate Black History all year round, we reaffirm our commitment to providing the highest quality care to all patients, regardless of background.

We also encourage you to take time this month to learn more about Black history, both locally and globally, and reflect on the amazing achievements of those who came before us.

Thank you, Dr. Kee, for your groundbreaking work in Frederick County and for making such a profound impact on our practice and community. Your legacy continues to inspire us every day.

Happy Black History Month from all of us at Smile N Style Dental!
